Ad & Sponsorship Policy

Written by the JHealth Team. January 2025.

At JHealth, our mission is to empower you on your journey to better health and wellness. We are dedicated to providing accurate, reliable, and actionable content that inspires and guides you toward achieving your personal health goals. The content we produce is held to strict editorial and medical standards, ensuring it remains accurate, current, and clear. JHealth is supported through advertising, which appears across our platforms, including websites, apps, social media, and partner publications. Please be assured that we maintain full editorial independence. While sponsors may suggest broad topic areas, we do not allow them to influence the editorial integrity or direction of our content. Occasionally, we may offer co-created or branded content in partnership with sponsors, and/or feature content provided by sponsors. Such content is always clearly labeled and outlined in sections 5 and 6 below.

If you are interested in advertising with JHealth, please contact us here. Below are the specific guidelines we follow for the types of advertising we accept:

1. Ad Review Process

We reserve full discretion to determine the types of ads that will be accepted and displayed on JHealth properties. We have the right to reject, cancel, or remove any ad at any time and for any reason. Advertisers will be promptly notified if an ad is rejected, canceled, or removed, along with an explanation. We also determine the appropriate placement for ads across our platforms.

2. No Endorsement of Advertised Products

While advertisements may appear on our site, the inclusion of these ads does not imply any endorsement of the products or services being advertised. JHealth’s editorial team may independently review and rate products, but these evaluations are made without regard to any financial or advertising relationship with the advertisers.

3. Prohibited Ad Types

We do not accept ads that are factually inaccurate or in poor taste. Pharmaceutical ads are only accepted for FDA-approved indications. Advertised products must be readily available in the market. JHealth will not accept ads for harmful, illegal, or objectionable products or services, including but not limited to alcohol, firearms, tobacco, pornography, gambling, political campaigns, or ads that simulate news or emergencies. Ads must not contain any discriminatory, defamatory, or offensive content. All ads must clearly identify the advertiser and will be labeled as advertisements to avoid confusion with editorial content.

4. Clear Separation of Ads and Editorial Content

We maintain a clear distinction between advertisements and editorial content. All ads on JHealth platforms will be clearly labeled as such. Clicking on an ad will direct users to the advertiser’s website or a sponsor’s resource center on JHealth, which will be marked as sponsored content, with the sponsor’s name clearly visible.

5. Distinguishing Sponsored and Non-Sponsored Content

JHealth partners with trusted and credible research organizations, manufacturers, and service providers to offer sponsorships that support our mission. Sponsored content is subject to our editorial review process to ensure it meets our high standards. We make every effort to ensure that our users understand which content is sponsored and which is editorially independent. Any content that has been influenced by a sponsor, including native advertising, co-created, or branded content, will be labeled to indicate its sponsorship. Sponsored posts may also appear on JHealth’s social media channels.

6. Affiliate Program (E-Commerce Links in JHealth Content)

In some of our content, we may include affiliate links to products we believe could be beneficial for our readers. While all products are independently selected, JHealth may receive a commission if a purchase is made through an affiliate link within 24 hours of clicking. This helps support our mission while providing valuable information to our users.

7. Partner Program Content

Occasionally, JHealth may work with partners whose products, services, or organizations align with our mission and values. These partners are thoroughly vetted for quality, and we present only content that we believe is beneficial to our users. However, JHealth does not review or medically verify partner content and is not responsible for the products or services promoted. Such content will be clearly labeled to indicate that it did not go through our regular editorial process, and may include a statement like: “JHealth and its partners may receive a portion of the revenue if you make a purchase using a link above.” If applicable, a “What’s This” link will direct users to an explanation of the partnership.
